(2) Oxygen Whiteners ---> Bicarb + washing soda
THE LOW-DOWN
It sounds pure, right? “Oxygen” whitening. But in truth, the active ingredient in whitening products, sodium percarbonate, contains hydrogen peroxide, making it a strong oxidizing agent, and a high risk for severe tissue damage. Combined with synthetic fragrance, undisclosed enzymes and harsh surfactants, you have a recipe for an toxic wash load.
THE UPGRADE
A simple blend of washing soda (sodium carbonate) and bicarb soda (sodium bicarbonate) acts as a powerful natural whitener, softener and stain-lifter. Just combine 1/2 cup of sodium carbonate with 1/2 cup of sodium bicarb soda, and add to your dispenser along with your regular detergent. Add a few drops of your favourite Laundrette essential oil for an extra boost.
(3) Laundry Sanitiser ---> Detox for Socks & Smalls
