1. Our Philosophy

At Laundrette, we believe that taking care of your home is as important as taking care of your health and our planet. Our mission is to craft natural scents that honour nature’s rhythms, nurture your body and mind, minimise waste, and promote mindful living. Sustainability isn’t an afterthought—it’s woven into every stage of our process.

2. Ingredient Sourcing

We use only 100% natural ingredients, prioritising responsibly sourced, biodegradable, and cruelty-free ingredients.

Natural & non-toxic: All of our products are created using 100% natural ingredients, including fragrance, and are, and will always be, free from phthalates and anything synthetic.
Ethical supply chains: We work with suppliers we've worked with for years, prioritising where possible small-scale growers and certified suppliers who share our environmental and social values.
Local preference: Whenever possible, we source ingredients locally to reduce transportation emissions and support nearby communities.

3. Production Practices

Our production model is designed around low-impact and small-batch principles.

Energy efficiency: We operate in a low-energy studio space
Minimal water use: Cleaning and blending processes are optimized to reduce water waste.
Responsible waste management: All by-products are composted or recycled. Mis-blended products are given away to willing friends and family!

4. Packaging & Materials

Packaging is one of the most tangible aspects of our environmental footprint, and we take it seriously.

Recyclable and reusable: Our glass bottles and aluminum lids are 100% recyclable and designed for reuse. Our plastic bottles are rPET (recyled PET).
Product Packaging: Some of our products don't include outer packaging. We know boxes look pretty, but we know they get thrown away immediately.In order to minimise waste and unnecessary expenses, the folloiwng products do not include outer cartons: Waterflower Laundry Drops, 500ml Detox for Socks and Smalls, Probiome Hand & Body Wash.
Refill options: We are working toward refillable pouches for our larger products. Watch this space.
Plastic-free commitment: We continuously work toward eliminating single-use plastics from our supply chain.

5. Carbon & Climate Responsibility

We acknowledge that all manufacturing has an environmental cost, and we strive to minimise ours.

Low transport emissions: Local sourcing and lightweight shipping materials help reduce carbon output.
Avoiding air pollution: We contribute to cleaner air both inside the home and outdoors by using only products which are 100% biodegradable, and don't cause harm to animals or humans.
Continual improvement: We strive to improve on the way we do things, and be open to change if it means better outcomes for health and environment.

6. Community & Circularity

Laundrette supports a culture of circularity and community wellbeing.

Education: We share transparent information about our ingredients and encourage mindful consumption.
Partnerships: We volunteer for local missions and charities that are doing good in our community, ane encourage others to do the same
